We the undersigned petition Westminster City Council to Install a dish antenna on top of our building so that it can benefit all the flat occupiers (tenants and lessees) to install satellite TV.
Petition update from the council, 24 October 2012Thank you for the petition you signed asking us to install communal satellite dishes on Hallfield estate.
I am sorry to advise you that we are no longer installing communal satellite dishes on any estates.
Westminster City Council and CityWest Homes are working together in a ground breaking scheme to provide our tenants and leaseholders the opportunity to access broadband services through their television screens. This is called internet protocol television or IPTV.
Residents who take up the scheme will receive free access to a range of local and national government websites. They will also be able to access a range of useful websites, send and receive email, shop and bank online, and search for better value goods and services at competitive rates.
Residents will receive a set top box with remote control, which will provide them with Freeview television at no cost. They will also be offered a range of competitively‐priced digital television services which will include foreign language channels, sports and film packages. If negotiations are successful and a service concession is approved, a pilot scheme will take place on some estates, possibly at the end of the year.
You will be kept advised of the progress of the scheme via CityWest News.
