We the undersigned petition Westminster City Council to revoke decision to extend working hours on Chelsea Barracks Development. More details

Petition update from the council, 04 November 2019

The Council has withdrawn the permission to use the crane between 18:00 and 20:00 hrs Monday to Friday with effect from 20th August 2019.

On the 27th June the Council permitted a dispensation requested by the contractor for the Chelsea Barracks development (phase 4) for the use of the crane between 18:00 and 20:00 hrs Monday to Friday to prepare the site for the next day work. The works were permitted, subject to complaints, after a trial period of 4 weeks that hadn’t raised any concerns.

There above topic was discussed at the residence meeting on the 14th August 2019.

More details from petition creator

We, the undersigned, petition Westminster City Council to revoke their consent to the contractors, Multiplex, to work 13 hours a day sometimes 7 days a week, on the Chelsea Barracks Development Site, Ebury Bridge Road. We request that the normal hours of opening, 7am to 6pm weekdays and half day Saturday, be resumed and the permission that has been granted to open from 7am to 8pm until 3 September be cancelled and also any extended weekend working hours. The noise, dirt and general disruption is unacceptable. Please sign below if you support this complaint:-
